You Shall Receive Power
This is a promise to you. It was not jus to those disciples gathered on the hillside that day outside Jerusalem. Peter reaffirms this, " For the promise is unto you , and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call," You are not excluded. It is not a promise limited to well known high profile ministers. You are included. Do you feel weak and tired? Do you feel like a failure? Have you given up hope? Take courage. Christ has promised , "You shall receive power"
Power is yours to receive as a free gift of grace. There is nothing for you to do but to receive it by faith. It cannot be bought; the price would be far beyond your ability to imagine. In the Kingdom of God to receive is simply to believe. The power you need is yours if you will only trust the Savior to freely give it to you. Ask and you shall receive; and when you ask, believe that you have received it. God has sent His Spirit to strengthen, guide, comfort, and teach you. Your job is to take God up on HIs generous offer to empower you today.
You shall receive power. Dunamis power is God's own dynamic power. Nothing is impossible to Him and nothing is impossible to the one who believes in Him. The Holy Spirit is given to every believer making him more then a conqueror. What is that mountain standing in your way? It must be removed and cast into the sea. Not by human might, not by human power, but by My Spirit say's The Lord. The God who resides in your heart is more than a match for any trouble, trial or tribulation. Christian, the very same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you. Believe that His power is at work in you to accomplish greater things than you ever dreamed were possible.
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. (Act 1:8 KJV)
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. (Act 2:39 KJV)
