Heading So, What's New?
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 When you come to Christ, He changes everything.
You become a new creature. Your past is forgiven. Your slate is clean. God forgets your sin. It is as far away as the east is from the west. It's like having a spiritual heart transplant. "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh." Ezekiel 36:26 Whenever I get a new pair of white sneakers I want to keep them white for as long as I can; so I'm more careful about the way I walk.
I watch where I'm going and where I'm stepping. It's like that when we get a new heart. Jesus makes it perfectly white and clean and we want to keep it that way. So we renew our minds with God's Word.
We keep our feet from the path of sin we are careful what we put in our eyes and ears. This is a fresh new year with fresh new possibilities and fresh new opportunities. Let's do our best to serve the Lord and one another with a pure heart this year.
