Death and life are in the power of the tongue; And
they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.(Pro 18:21 ASV)
Previously I talked about how
our words can affect other people, this time I would like to talk about
how our words can affect our own lives’. Proverbs 18:21: That the power
of life and death are in the tongue, and they that love it will eat the
fruit thereof.
We must watch what we
allow to come out of our mouths, especially when we mix those words with
faith and are constantly repeating them over and over, saying things
like I am sick, or my family has a history of cancer and I am going to
die of cancer as well, we can create some very difficult and unpleasant
situations in our lives.
And he saith unto them, Because of your little
faith: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard
seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and
it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.(Mat 17:20 ASV)
I am not saying we
should be paranoid about every word that comes out of our mouth. It is
ok to for example to go to the Doctor and say I have this problem or
thatproblem, but those
problems or conditions, or family history should not be our confession,
instead we should say what God’s word say’s like, by His stripes I am
healed;
who his own self bare our sins in his body upon
the tree, that we, having died unto sins, might live unto righteousness;
by whose stripes ye were healed.(1Pe 2:24 ASV)
Find out what Scripture
say’s about our problems and speak that instead regardless of what
things may seem like. It may be difficult at first because we have
conditioned ourselves to speak negatively, but we must train ourselves
with the help of The Holy Spirit to speak God’s Word and Life into our
own lives as well as others.
Keep speaking God’s
Word and building your faith;
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by
the word of God.(Rom 10:17
KJV)
My friend as Christians we
are not exempt from trials, persecutions, trouble, sickness or even
death but when we stand in faith believing and speaking God’s Word not
only do we arm ourselves with a powerful weapon The Sword Of The Spirit,
with which to face our circumstances we also honor The Lord as well. I
pray this will be a blessing to someone, God Bless!
Our prayer should always be;
Set a watch, O Jehovah, before my mouth; Keep the
door of my lips.(Psa 141:3
ASV)
For
he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue
from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:(1Pe 3:10 KJV)
